God gave me the words that led to this; Author's Den was where it all happened; you can DO this, girl ... deeeeep breath. LOL
Five days until TV Made Me Do It! Getting nervous, but excited at the same time. Two days of filming --get to read some of my poems on air; get to talk about my fear of storms; how they affect me and my twin; get to talk about storms we've been in; what it's like to have stormphobia. This, the first day. The next, get to go to Fort Worth NBC Channel Five (KXAS) and meet David Finfrock (the chief meteorologist), spend the whole day with him, see how he prepares for the weather, perhaps do my own forecast ("We're all gonna diiiiieeeee"). Just might if I say or do something stupid on air! Never done this before. Do us a favor: pray for us!!!

You relax Karla, you will do a wonderful job one that not only you will be proud of but your AD family as well. Kick ass girl and we'll be cheering you on.
The thinking about it is the worst part. You can't plan it out, you've got t experience it--a minute at a time. Think about enjoying it for it will be something you will recall again and again afterward.
"Keep your mind in the minute and greet each instance as it comes."
Just be yourself and practice what you are going to say in your mind, or out loud to yourself before you say it. It worked for me one day when I had to do about ten interviews, got to be old hat after about three. It will get easier with each take. take your time and focus..You will be fine....make sure you get us a copy.

I'm keeping you both in prayer, knowing you are going to be just fine! You are stars to begin with;-) Just don't forget to take deep breaths ,swallow easy, and enjoy it!!!
The "Break a leg" phrase comes from taking a bow or a curtsey at the end of a theatrical performance. The greaater the applause the deeper the curtsey which portrays the "broken leg." The phrase became popular in the early 1900s. And so to our wonderful Storm Twins, Break a Leg!
