glad you had a great time and your driver has a spectacular showing ... NASCAR events are a wild experience not to miss ... unfortunately, the only one i went to was the Daytona 500 in 1975 but i'll never forget it ...
WOW! That stadium in the picture has monolithic porportions. As in your poem I can just imagine the noise from the excitement of the race. Your excitement is expressed in your words. Glad your driver was near the front.

Great write and taste of life at ringside of one of the best sports...I hope my man Jimmir #48 sees yours in his rearview mirror at the finish line. lol
Man, Karla, what an adrenaline rush this is! I can see why people get hooked on this stuff! Glad we could share our day with each other, rootin' for #17! GOOOOOOOOOOOO, MATT!!!! WHOO-WHOOOOOOOOO!! Marvelous write that truly captures the spirit of the day, and that picture is too cool! Shows people just how big that place is--and WE were THERE!! BRAVA, extremely well written; you take the checkered flag with this winner!!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :D
You brought back my own memories with this one Karla~
I used to be one of the ER nurses at the infield hospital in Daytona Bch. where I lived. I had the best seats in the house for FREE!
But, it wasn't a pretty picture when they'd all get tangled in a pile up!
Gosh! I was 20! ...and man O' man did we have fun with the drivers after the race, heading to the strip at night, partying till all hours, watching them re-fiberglass their car parts right in the hotel rooms!
Thanks for the memories! :)
Love and Peace~
Kimmy~
I recall my marketing and public relations days when the NASCAR circuit was hot and heavy. From Darlington to Talladega to Daytona the people ripped up and down I-95 and tore the pavement up. WE always made lots of money from that NASCAR Circuit and it still brings a lot of $$$$ from fans.
This book tells the story of the 1999 Providence College Friars baseball team, the last season that the sport was played at the institution. Baseball was set to be eliminated after that season in order for the school to comply with Title IX regulatio
