This happend in Lewisville, Texas on New Year's Day.
Honor killings are not sanctioned by the Koran (the Muslim Holy Book); however, women are considered property to be disposed of as men want. They may be committed because of pre-marital relationships, flirting, infidelity, or because dinner wasn't served on time.
Two young women - sisters - are in love. The world is a beautiful place. They are good students with dreams of college and careers: too bad they won't see them come to pass. They were found murdered in a cab their father had been driving - shot multiple times. Where is the father? Hasn't been seen since. All because they had boyfriends, had found love they didn't have at home ... does anyone see something suspicious here?
Terrorism of their own families says it all. These people rule their own families with threats and disrespect and because of this they need to live where others' understand this type of murder or die...just die. If they elect to come to the states and then live under rules that go against the United States then they need to hang, be elctrocuted or shot...no chemical IV. That would be too humne. An eye for an eye...if found he needs to be sentenced to death right away and not linger as a responsibility to the taxpayers of this country.

Sad and maddening. SO much violence in this country (I looked up the statistics, and they are daunting. Canada is so close. Why does the violence slow at the border? Not all about guns, can't be.)

Felix is nuts if he thinks we are at war for oil . . . The authorities are hunting this bastard as we speak . . . I do agree that we in this country are slow to react when something happens in the "Muslim community" . . .
I heard about this case; tragic, indeed! The man who did this should be punished within an inch of his life--but not given the satisfaction of death. Shame! Powerfully penned sadness in your words this morning; well done.
