i wish things had turned out differently then
i wish we have that day over again
i wish i didn't turn on the local news
i wish i had more warning, had read the clues
i wish that day had been a normal one
i wish terror hadn't darkened the sun
i wish twin towers still stood, tall and proud
i wish i had not seen those dark smoky clouds
i wish the airplane hadn't crashed in that field
i wish our defense was an undamaged shield
i wish heroes were still with us today
i wish our loved ones hadn't died that way
i wish all those that did this would have to pay
i wish those that hate freedom would go away
i wish i could get through the rage and the fear
i wish my anger would become less severe
i wish i would not be so nervous and scared
i wish i'd stop watching the news being aired
i wish i'd get more rest, have trouble sleeping
i wish that nightmares wouldn't leave me weeping

heal; may we remember and never forget.

I love your format for this.. you missed nothing.. including the horrible aftermath we all share. Writing is a great release..and this has helped others as well. katy.
