For T., who's dealing with frustrations. Have the same ones - keep her and I in your prayers.

Why does God allow
trial?  To make me
stronger?  How, in my
weakness, am I strong?
Don't have the strength of
Atlas; legs wobbly;
spine b.ent; shoulders, worn
o u  t  rubber bands.  Can
only shoulder so
much before I fold
under the strain of
taking on the world.

Or Is it to learn
compassion?  How much
more do I have to
give?  Can't give any
more - have nothing, left.
If I could, I would,
but can't afford what
I need, let alone
take care of others.
Tired, Lord, weary of
everything - need a
break before I b/reak .... .. ....

(c) 2008, Karla Dorman (3/27)

Compassion and love require no earthly goods. We are each, capable of all things that possess qualities of inherent great good. All other things matter little more than, tattered wool. You certainly know how to construct beautiful poetic emotion. Jon Michael Willey

Sometimes when we feel we can't take any more..a breakthrough is around the corner..I'm hoping for this too. You express your feelings so honestly..and so poetically...Love, Diana.

again ditto Karla, when i reached point break twenty years back I actually got stronger, haven't had a depressed day since, oh I feel bad at times this is normal but depression is a monster I can't afford. It takes a long time to crawl from the bottom, so I decided I wasn't going back there. I finally realized where my happiness came from, not from things being good but from my ability to handle my screwed up life effectively. hugs

These are thoughts that I can really understand; I have always been the "Atlas" kind of person. :-) I'm not carrying it all anymore, something's changed for good.

Taking a break before you break, it is good medicine..trust me, I just did that last week, and I feel so rejuvenated and refreshed...Just go for a walk, breath in the fresh positive healing energy of the air and know that you are cared about and loved very much by many people.
You are a very special person, and always remember that...
Peace, love, and light,

On the road up to Calvary, on via de la Rosa, many tried to carry the cross Jesus had to bear, it was eventually to heavy for all of them, though friends he had, just like you, who will pray for you!

What I like about your poetry, is its honesty; almost everyday that things go wrong or I have pain, I ask the same thing, but I never write about it or make a poem of it. This is much better medicine the way you do it. You put the stuff that's in all our minds into words and you do it short! What a gift to others. And let's hope this prayer brings some healing power into yours and your friends lives.
PS: the only other thing I do is when I'm about to hit a B/Point I usually roll off into one of my other "1/2 dozen" comedy routines or characters I do - (with only the cats for audience) but then I DO LIVE ALONE!

Oh, Karla. Is there anything at all that I can do? You are not going to break, honey -- are so much stronger than you feel right now --, but for you to be hurting like this. . .only words thar are coming to me are unprintable. SO unfair. You g i v e so much. Karma has to be on your side!! Why Karla and Karma are so close!!:)!!

I know these feelings. When I don't have the money to help out, which is frequent, I try to give my time. But when even my spirit is poor, I just let God carry me. Great write. Liz

Karla, I don't know who T is and actually I don't really know YOU, but I do know "of you" and the you I know has made a difference in my life. While each of us wishes for more out of life, I am hoping knowing you make a difference in another person's life is enough to make you want to keep being YOU, even through the hardship of life.

I know these feelings, too well; but I've always found that, like the tide, they ebb and flow, alternating bad days with not so bad with downright good ones. Hang tough, my friend, and know that better days lie just ahead. Rebecca

I learned from my mentor that struggles and trials don't come to teach us something but that they come because we've been taught already. Meaning they are like teasers to see what we really are made of...Hang in there, and T, this too shall pass
