Heelllpppp ... . ..

the sky opens up in
tears i wish i could cry
but can't - so i allow
it to do it for me

tired of the storms of life.
feel like i'm dangling by
a thread being twisted
in the wind.  drowning in

the flood falling from my
eyes - up to the lips, now.
enough, Lord.  tired.  don't have
the patience of Job, am

weary of holding my
head above, arms are worn
thin from treading, getting
no.where.  need:  Peace.  Be.  Still ...

now would be a good time.

(c) 2008, Karla Dorman (3/28)

There is sadness and despair aplenty in this lament. 'Till the very end, we are expected to fight on. It has been so ordained. Good things here that I have come to expect from you. Insightful, revealing, Karla. Jon Michael Willey

Karla,
the patience of Job isn't necessary when you have the skill to write like this.

I could feel the emotion from within as I read this...things never stay the same...feelings come and go like the ebb and flow of the sea. Tomorrow the sun may be out...or a Rainbow could appear in a rain filled sky...Love, Diana.

I think this poem might fit a lot of us Karla, I always tell people who are trying to mess my day up, "my day is already screwed, it was screwed the day I popped out of the womb, you're just wasting your time." Anyway you're tough, well at least tell yourself that, it don't cost nothing to psych yourself out, hey it works. I've been doing it for years, now Im beginnig to believe it, take care dear

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want..." When I read your poem, this thought was the first that came to mind. I'm aware our writings aren't always personal experiences, thus, my comment is on the poem itself. You've gotten across a strong message with mood and feeling that reflects what everyone likely feels at one time or another. (I hope you're not feeling this bad.) Well done, Karla.

This is a song I used to sing to reassure me "My ways are not your ways, says the Lord of Host, My thoughts are not your thoughts, says the Lord of Host, Whatever I allow to happen to you, Accept it, accept it as my will for you. Jesus, Jesus, I give you all my life, take it, take it, it's yours for evermore, whatsoever you allow to happen to me, I accept it, accept it for you are my God"

...for there is no giving up...but in giving...and in so...give your self what you can...and know that you have penned the words and feelings of many of us...here...shared...and I have also watched the sky...my own tears fall...and knew they were mine. ...when one does not know what to do...perhaps...do nothing...there be the still you seek...and from it...comes...again life.
hopes and wishes are with you Karla...

You have set this intention out to the Universe, It will hear your plea for relief, trust in the power of intention, you will receive what you so deserve, know in your heart and believe in all the wonder of balance and universal light force. Be open, for opportunities will come and you must trust yourself to know when they are knocking...
Much peace, love, and guiding light to you and sister Karen.

I think that you are putting many of our feelings, from some time or another, to poetry. I am sorry that you are going through all of this. One thing that we (my family) have started doing to help us to see the Lord's hand in our lives every day is to find at least one way in which we are blessed each day. Sometimes it is easier than others... but, like yesterday, my blessing was that I didn't hit the man I didn't see in the crosswalk! hee, hee... (probably wasn't funny to him, and wasn't funny to me at the time...) The Lord is always with us, even though we can't always feel those comforting arms. Look for the blessings and I am sure they will become easier to see.
There are so many people praying for you...
We love you, Karla...

I pray you get the breaks you deserve and need. He's gotten us through before; He won't let us down! Remember that! He's always faithful, even when we feel otherwise! Excellent portrayal of life's struggles; I'm there in it too! You are not alone!
