... Lungs expand like sails, taking
in deep draughts of refreshment:
clouds newly laundered, smelling
of sunshine and warmth.  I wrap
them around my body.  There
is nothing more delicious
than the feeling I have right
now:  almost like being born
again.  The ugliness that
was has been washed out of the
sky:  my fears, forgiven.  This
is what it means to be clean.

I've got a feeling you're not much of a sinner, Karla. Thanks for sharing the "high." Love and best wishes,

Whatever one talks of about, we note the lack of washing when the smell becomes intolerable, and that goes for spiritual ones too.

Couldn't be more rejuvenating! Wonderful depiction of a heart washed clean by Jesus and His redeeming blood.
Just what I needed tonight.

Excellent, Karla!

"...my fears, forgiven. This
is what it means to be clean"

This is what Jesus had in mind, even knowing that folks would miss the point.

Lovely!
