Times are getting tough, and I'm afraid that they will become tougher...I saw a lady in WalMart today who was stocking up on pampers said she had heard on the news that there was going to be a large increase in them very soon! I told her that it looked as though many would have to go back to the way I diapered my two...it wasn't the most convenient, but it fit my budget...washing them, drying them, and washing them again...and again...hang in there my friend!

It's an awful high priced world and going to get worse not better. Too much greed in this world but the bible says it will be very bad at the end of the days. Proving to be correct in all ways. We haven't see the worst yet, a friend and neighbor keeps telling me. I neveer get tired of hearing it though cause I know it to be true according to God's Word. Peace come soon, for us all.
Yes, most of us average Americans are having to tighten our belts. You should see the cities of the oil producing nations that we buy gas from. One picture showed the largest pool in the world which was the size of a huge lake. The extravagance will shock you. They can afford it because American is sending all our money out of the country and we're becoming a pauper country.
I know this write all too well Karla for the pensions just don't keep up with the bills and the government and big business keep taking more...maybe it is their way of population control.

While far too many workers are laid off, jobs are lost, and prices for food and fuel continue to rise horrendously, many top execs of oil companies and car manufacturers enjoy ever rising bonuses and salaries. What a country we now live in.
Karla, in Norway, one of the riches country in the world (only a little over of 4 million people total and with a monetary reserve of over 3 thousand billions) many retirees (after working 30, 40, 50 years) are forced to decide between buying medicines to survive or food to not die of hunger, in a country claiming to oversee the wellfare of its people and that they don't (the same people that help the country to amass that incredible fortune)
I understand what you are saying and it is indeed greed of everyone. People scream out for more pay and in order to get that, prices have to go up, the money has to come from somewhere to keep up with higher wages. It is unfortunate that the rich who keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer.
The saddest thing of all is that it could easily be fixed.
The problem is, we don't have anyone within our government, including President Bush, with enough guts to just do it. A bunch of greedy, money loving cowards that we elected are leading our country into econimic defeat. We will be nothing but another third world country before too long. The late, great United States. May God have mercy on our souls.
Karla I live in California, which is one of the most expensive places to live, and I am feeling the pinch, but I believe the Lord will supply our needs

Here at my hotel, one of the maids works maybe four hours per day, earns $24 for each day. She commutes about 35 miles round-trip to work and uses a tank of gas per week. Filling the tank on her vehicle costs about $90 - so she works 3.75 days to pay for that tank of gas. She works all seven days each week for 3.25 days of pay (after gas). And she is one of our single mothers trying to make ends meet.
Fact is, that maid is at the bottom of the food-chain, and it is not pretty down there.
