debris
on fire
many lives lost

they're
falling
collapsing
oh. my. God. NOOOO!!!!
world trade centers
men
women
volunteers
search the debris
world trade centers
tears
falling
from our eyes
we'll remember...
world trade centers
hope
rising
we'll rebuild
we won't forget

I. BEFORE
twins
one hundred and ten stories tall
majestic
their heights inspire all
together
throughout eternity
brothers
symbols of prosperity
II. ATTACK
wounded
they are struck a mortal blow
bleeding
now reeling with vertigo
shocky
now collapsing to the ground
dead--
our grief and horror is profound
III. AFTERMATH
vanished
they are gone without a trace
debris
and rubble now fills that space
forever
the twins are in our minds
always
remembered by mankind

These poems were written in October, 2001.
As the first year anniversary of September
11 approaches, let us pause and reflect.
Let us always remember and never forget.
Dedicated to those we lost that day...and
to their families. God bless you all.
