You took your last vacation
Never thought you'd lose your life
We'll never feel safe again
Terror struck us like a knife...

Couldn't believe what happened
The World Trade Centers were hit
What were your last moments like
Still wondering about it...

Lost in that awful attack
You died when the Towers fell
A part of us died with you
We've all been going through hell...

You died when your plane went down
In that Pennsylvania field
You prevented more horror
As terror's plans are revealed...

You died just doing your job
You made sure others got out
Our heroes at Ground Zero
You saved lives, we have no doubts...

Been almost a month now
and we've cried oceans of tears
Way too many thousands died
Our loved ones have disappeared...

i will remember and never forget...this was
written nearly a month after the attack on
our nation. it reveals the pain and frustra-
tion many of us felt, especially those who
lost someone they knew...or loved...this
is dedicated to them. it should never
