the clouds are gatherin' in the sky
feels sticky--the humidity's high

not much of a breeze stirrin' the air
it's fixin' to come a cloud out there

it's gettin' kinda dark to the north
a cold front stalls--please!! let it come forth!!

'cause i'm tired of the summer heat
fixin' to come a cloud, i repeat

weather service has issued warnings
pretty soon, it's gonna be storming

will have to get off the p.c. soon
fixin' to come a cloud--thunder booms

they're sayin' we could get rain and hail
nasty thunderstorms could kick our tail

we need the rain...it has been so hot
fixin' to come a cloud...yay!! i shout

c'mon, fall, i'm more than ready for it
c'mon, summer heat...ya gotta git!!

we'll take any kind of break from the summer's
heat...and this hasn't been a bad summer. i've
seen it get a lot hotter. just the the upper 90s
are wearin' thin...seems like they've been goin'
on for weeks and weeks...i'm more than ready
for fall!!!! anyone got any extra cooler weather
they can send to texas?? i, for one, would
