Karla..powerful writing, and terribly true in many cases.
It's sad that many abusive spouses don't realize it how hurtful their abuse can be until it's too late, you have sent out a sound message with this write. Thank you Karla!!!
We should keep neutral, his or her, the violence at home could and did scarred four children that did not have a choice.
Some people should not have children, if their married life would be one of provocations and violence, because a blackened eye will pass, but the blackened eye inside the children will never go away.
Dear Karla ~ A very well depiction of a very unnatural act. It is so heart wrenching, DV of any kind. I shiver every time I think of it.

Really strong message in such a brief poem. Sad to say, some women "accept" the violence and get back to the abuser for more. Can't figure that out.
