brothers

my big
brothers
were twins
one stood
a bit

taller
than the
other
(but not
by much).

my twin
brothers
towered
over
me--their

little
sister.
they did
their best
to keep

me from
harm--my
angels
who would
protect

me...you
see, no
one would
"mess" with
me as

long as
they were
around.
they ruled
the roost.

but they're
gone now...
murdered
one late
summer

morning
almost
one year
ago...
hatred

brought them
down...how
i miss
them...their
presence

lingers...
and i
promise...
i won't
forget

my twin
brothers.

Ooooh! Karla J. Dorman, I love this poem! It says well, the icons the WTC was, and how, one of the great monuments to our country and the freedom has been murdered! Great tribute!
