i feel old
so much older than my years
and i'm sad
my worn face is marked by tears
i'm worried
about another attack
i'm in pain
the last assault broke my back
i recall
that terror filled september
and i know
i will always remember
still i stand
weary, perhaps not as tall
i was not
supposed to survive the fall
and i mourn
for all those innocent lives
and i miss
all my friends that had to die

I wanted to write America's thoughts
on the upcoming anniversary...if she
could write, this is what I think she'd
say. *ALWAYS REMEMBER AND
NEVER FORGET* (((HUGS))) and
love, karla. :(

I think we all feel the same
and it has changed us all
I can still remember the days when the air raid sirens sounded every once in a while in the 50-60s
Karla, I think you have touched the subject we all wait in anticipation for. Will there be more attacks tomorrow I do not know but whatever happens God will see us thru. Tim

Very sad write gurl - the coming brings back all the memories of the unfortunate day. May Allah give you the courage.
very good but sad write -- quite emotional. There is one I wrote back in April well parts of it in April then parts of it in November 2001, then titled it Seasons of Black September. The one that I have which is the follow up is titled Stygian Skies. I gave a darker tone to the tragedy where no one was willing to write a dark perspective about it.
Great write Karla, yes I'm sure you have gotten to her core with this,,America weeps for a people living in fear and confusion, but we will overcome and heal,,afterall, We Are Americans! Great Job Karla,,,Lisa
very sad, but poignant, write; very emotional in its content!! WELL DONE, karla!!
