Poem Artwork

... the hush of midnight settles
like comfort on my shoulders,
with only the moon and stars
keeping company.  after the

noisiness of the day, silence
is a welcome peace:  one i'll
dream about tonight and pray
touches the world tomorrow ...

A beautiful poem and a lovely picture, Karla. Silence is an all too rare blessing here in the 21st C, a place where you can collect yourself and think--well worth your lovely hymn.

her comfort and company endures as she rests her mantle on your shoulders, Karla, embuing you with her peace. It's good to draw breath - in awe as well as silence. Lovely write - especially those last two lines. xx

Magnificent title.
We can all hope/pray for peace,
but it's wise to keep our swords
sharpened for what will invariably
try to steal it. Well done poetess!
