What did you do on that September day?
Did you pause in silence, remember, pray?

Did you ask God for His protecting Hand?
Did you ask Him to guard our great big Land?

Did you ask we get through the days ahead?
Did you ask for healing from fear and dread?

Did you pray we have no further attacks?
Did you ask God to watch behind our backs?

Did you remember those that lost their lives?
Did you pray for those injured, who survived?

Did you pray for those that were left behind?
Did you pray peace and comfort for their minds?

Did you pray for heroes working today?
Did you ask God to guard them in all ways?

Did you go to church and cry out to God?
Did you thank police, fire, rescue squads?

Did you ask God to watch out for our kids?
Did you say you'd love them, and hate, forbid?

Did you pray for peace all over our world?
Did you feel pride when our flag was unfurled?

Did you remember where you were that day?
Did you stay silent or feelings convey?

Did you hug someone that needed a hug?
Did you hold someone to you extra snug?

Did you draw closer to your family?
Did you promise to forgive enemies?

What did you do on that September day?
Did you pause in silence...remember...pray?
