random winds

random winds--
a tornado,
a hurricane,
strong straight line winds--
are capable
of destroying
all--everything
caught in its path;
they're capricious,
these random winds
that suddenly
strike--sometimes with
little warning--
they don't care who
will survive the
disaster and
who will die. those
that live are changed
forever by
the forces they
couldn't control...
altered by chance...
by random winds.

terror is like that.

random winds that
september ripped
buildings...skylines...
people apart...
devastation
and anguish were
the results...but
out of ashes
arose a strong
resiliance
that will not be
shaken...our lives
were changed...we
are no longer
innocent...our
ways of life will
not be the same...
however...we
will prevail...for
freedom was not
defeated...and
neither were we.

thank God for that.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

the random winds
of terror are
like the random
winds of nature...

"always remember and never forget." :(

The key word is "random." Nature is random. Man is not.
