The LORD looks down
Eyes fill with tears
At Mankind's sin
Over the years
The LORD looks down
Heart heavy, sad
From Heaven's realm
Sin's been forbade
The LORD looks down
At what sin's wrought
On all our souls
Sin's left a blot
The LORD looks down
He shakes His Head
Because of sin
We will be dead
The LORD looks down
He loves us, still
Gives us a Gift
We have free will
The LORD looks down
Heart's filled with love
We've a Savior
His Son, belov'd
The LORD looks down
On you and me
We can accept
His Gift is free
The LORD looks down
What will we choose
Will we reject
Will we refuse
The LORD looks down
Look at His Face

Matthew, He gave us free will so that we'd be free to CHOOSE to love Him! Otherwise we'd only be obedient robots with no emotion & free will to choose. Great write, Karla!

Why did God give us free will if he knew it meant we would sin and make him unhappy? I never did get that.
