the
awful
images
that i saw on
that september day
tenaciously,
stubbornly
cling to
the
surface
of my mind,
refusing to
depart. they hang on,
disturbing
my sleep,
burned
on my
memory.
replayed again,
again, disturbing
images of
planes hitting
buildings...
smoke
and flames
exploding
against clear blue
skies...people jumping,
forced to choose to
die or die...
we did
not
want to
see what we
were seeing...the
pentagon in flames...
a plane down in
a midwest
field...more
lives
lost...and
firemen,
policemen, and
reporters running
toward danger...
capturing
the death
of
the twin
towers as
they collapsed in
a hellish roar...then
an evil cloud
blotted out
the sun,
day
became
night...and all
was silence...as we
mourned those that were
lost on that
awful
day...
these, the
images
that stand out, burned
in my memory.

I hope all of us in America and the other sympathetic part of the world always remember this date and try to prevent a similar occurence to this tragic occurrence.
But let us not forget Karla that their are those who will rejoice and celebrate every time this date occurs. We must be strong and work toward of exclusion of our enemies from our borders. Bill hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!
