There is nothing I can say
That will ease your mind, your grief,
No, I can't change what happened
No words that will bring relief,
There is nothing I can say
To assuage your broken heart,
No, I just saw the horror
As it ripped our world apart,
There is nothing I can say
That will erase tears you cry,
No, I don't know how you felt
But I saw the darkened skies,
There is nothing I can say
I wasn't right there with you,
No, I don't know what pain is
But I watched it on the news,
There is nothing I can say
As I see tears on your face,
No, I don't know what loss is
But I see the empty space,
There is nothing I can say
I can't imagine your pain,
No, it's okay...I'll listen
To your stories, once again,
There is nothing I can say
There is nothing I can do,
Know you're in my thoughts, my prayers
Will you take a hug or two?

As we approach the second anniversary
of the attack on our Nation, let us
take a moment to remember those that
are no longer here.
I choose to remember JOYCE ANN CAR-
PENETO, age 40, who worked as a com-
puter programmer at General Telecom,
on the 83rd floor, North Tower.
This poem is dedicated to her and
her family and friends who knew her
best. (((HUGS))) (((HUGS)))
A challenge: who will you remember,
and why?

There is nothing I can say.
I will remember who I was, and who my loved ones were before we lost our innocence to this wake up call.
I know a few people who were there, and who can't get over it. I remember how they were.
Great poem.

Karla, This is very touching. A challenge I'm sure many will take as the time approaches. One of sad and painful memories that bring it all so close to home. I would like to think that we will all take the time to if not in writing to remember them each one in at least a moment of silence. That day will live forever in the minds of so many, and in the faces of all those children and spouses that were thrown into sudden loneliness. Sudden grief and the struggle to have to start all over. A day of slicing infamy in all our hearts and minds. Thank You, Karla. ~SH~
>tears < i choose to remember todd beamer, the man who saved the white house by purposely crashing the plane into the pennsylvania field. i shall do a poem about him when the anniversary gets closer; and i can only hope that another terrorist attack like what transpired on september 11, 2001, will NEVER, EVER happen again in our country! god be with our nation, and god be with those who lost their friends, co-workers, or family members that horrible day! i will never forget, and i shall be spending that day praying and crying as i pause to remember the horror of that tragic day! i shall also be writing stories about that day as they come to mind. stay tuned for those. >tears < what a compelling, heartwrenching write! ((((HUGS)))) and much love, your twin, karen lynn. >tears, tears, tears < *GOD BLESS AMERICA AGAIN!*
