This is a tear jerker... I was driving to work--- the chill that went up my spine... I don't think we will ever be the same, however, more aware. Your depth in this is outstanding!

It was the sounds that were not heard that felt soooooooo strange. Imagine driving on Interstate 90 and not seeing a car for a least 5 to 10 mintues! Great write.

excellent word usage; and very powerful in its impact. i never knew silence could be so deafening until september 11, 2001 happened, and not hearing the sound of airplanes flying (excepting for the occasional military jet) was both quite frightening and eerie!
