This was written a couple of days
after the terrorist attack on our
Nation. I haven't posted it until
now, because I was afraid the lan-
guage would be offensive. It con-
veys the shock and anger many of
us were feeling. I'd like to thank
Jerry Bolton for his courage in
posting his September 11 poems,
even if they are graphic and angry.
We have a right to be angry, and
may we always remember and never,
EVER forget.

Thanks to you, thousands of lives have been shattered,
Into wrecked planes, buildings, fields, loved ones are scattered...
Will they be found intact, or just a body part?
Is this the beginning of more horrors to start?
I cannot get the images out of my head,
The nightmares keep peaceful sleep away from my bed...
News on twenty four seven, all channels the same,
We have been granted front row seats to terror's game,
Towers are missing, the smell of death's in the air,
At the Pentagon, in that field, death's also there...
What choice did people have, when they were forced to leap?
O, God...the horror, the horror still makes me weep...
What the fuck were you thinking--how could you do this?
Bastards--you're going to pay for your cowardice...
Thanks to you, we have a perfect reason to fight,
You'd better run...'cause it's YOUR ass we're gonna light!!!!

Jarring sentiments! There are two sides to this though. And, while what was done on 9/11 was clearly wrong, a sober look at the whys and wherefores might be in order.
What did the towers symbolize to the people that destroyed them? And why DID they see fit to destroy them.
America has played God in world affairs for way too long through the CIA and the rest of it's alphabet soup.
Again, not excusing the actions, the actions were clearly drastic and wrong. Just trying to see the issue clearly.

My heart is overwhelmed. To think that I in some small way contributed to the posting of this poem of rage I am humbled. Thank you for your words and thank you so much for your rage. Loving your enemy is not going to fly anymore. God Speed.

ohhhhhhhhh I feel this!!! I wrote many angry poems after 9/11, but hesitated to post them....I applaud your honest heart....this is well done and not at all offensive....
