Tribal rhythms echo.
Ghosts of the Zulu, the Bantu,
Tsutsi, Hutu and Masai
dance to the beat of their ancestors.
Ceremoniously,
with reverence,
they dance the dance of the ages,
remembering heroes,
remembering victories,
tales passed down by elders,
warriors still
in the battles of life.
As the sun arises on the
land of Africa,
tribal rhythms urge on.
Life for the day.
On the plains and savannahs,
in cities and villages,
pulsing
in each breath taken.
The cadence and rhythm
in each step
bringing forth the
heartbeat that is Africa.
The heartbeat of Africa,
pulsing through each sunrise,
each sunset,
the tribal rhythms
echoing still.
