I wanna go out ratting

Ranting and raving

Not because I’m dying

That’s expected and natural

But ranting due to the situations

We see in the world

Situations of apathy, hunger, war

Situations of complacency, corruption, injustice

Abundant water that isn’t potable

Situations all that reflect our human nature

Have always reflected it

And, evidently, always will

Maybe we can’t change that nature

Or perhaps we can only diminish it

But diminish is diminish is it not?

I wanna go out ratting

Not because I’m dying

That’s expected and natural

It’s because someone should

Simply should

Protest.
