This particular poem reflects manic-depression, at least from my point of view. I was misdiagnosed for 15 years.

With such emotional highs
And rollercoaster hills
That lead to such drops
To hit rock bottom of the
Lingering depression
This runaway car just won't stop
No brakes to slow it down
Just another hill to run up
Then slide down
Frantic pace and always on the run
Crash and burn at a maniacal pace
Please, please, PLEASE!!!
Why can't I find an even keel
Riding along on this rollercoaster of emotions
Just a typical ride of a manic-depressive

(c)2002 A Riddle
