Fifth from the left, I am on a horse named Bali Hai. A beautiful show horse, a difficult ride, and the only horse to ever leave me unconscious on the ground. Where this picture was taken is now a subdivision.

My Country Heart I am a western gal without a doubt Though the cowgirl part never worked out An enigma when two worlds collide Big city raised but country inside The horses I�ve ridden number more than a few Their majestic strength I never outgrew And when I was thrown I always got back on If I was still conscious after hitting the ground I�ve done the state fairs, took a ribbon or two Believe it or not, been caught in quicksand, too Spent many an evening rolling in the hay A Wrangler butt the best reason to play Though the city has always been my home My country heart is my incentive to roam Whether on the freeway or in a mall I�m planning my escape to be with y�all

You've done the horse-riding thing, but now you HAVE to join me and Steve to do the cowboy action shooting thing. You keep saying you will, but ...
Since I know you soooooo well, this poem reminded me of many of your escapades, and made me laugh. I'm still laughing at what you wrote.

I lived in a very small village where country roots were known, but it wasn't really the "country," even though the location had 2,000 residents.

Enjoy your country roots and be proud of them; I'm proud of mine.

Watch out for a tired and a lonely coffee thirsty cowboy arriving at your camp, because it was a while since he went rolling on the hay.
He can play......a guitar too.
