Out of Balance

Sometimes the screams are deafening

It doesn’t matter if I cover my ears

The cries refuse to abate

And once again I am reduced to tears

I close my eyes, clasp my hands in prayer

I find I can not rise from my knees

Claustrophobic from the cocoon I’m in

Unable, it seems, to even breathe

To stand on my own I must rise from my knees

To take a breath when I can not breathe

I greet each day though I fear what it holds

I take what is given, too weak to be bold

With everything out of balance how can I stand

Is peace and contentment not in this earthly plan

I can not breathe when drowning in pain

And happiness is all I’ve wished to attain

Some days the anger causes me to fight

Determined my efforts will make things right

But failure and sorrow takes such a toll

And faith is shaken in my very soul

Anytime one is relegated to a dark corner one thinks that faith is on the brink, wrong!!! just a couple of tiny prayers will take our soul to even keel.

It is human to have doubts, fears and even to be angry at the world around us when we go through rough times and heartaches. Our strength is in our abilitiy to cope and keep on going even when we think we can't. Your heart is true and this write is testimony to the fact that you will survive and only grow stronger.

Oh my sweet girl, you are not alone. When this happens to me, I go out to nature and ground myself. Standing firmly on the ground and do a meditation to feel the earth's energy flow up my legs and through my outreached arms. It is most powerful! Run, RaeLynn, Run, go outside and ground yourself. You will feel an uplifting I can guarantee it!!!
Much Peace, Love, and Light,

RaeLynn,

This one rings with poignancy...through all of life's trials and tribulations, no wonder faith is shaken...keep holding on. Excellent, heartfelt writing here.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

RaeLynn, I know you so well. Your faith is shaken, but NEVER lost. You remind us of the daily trials of life, and how it effects us. Awesome poem!

I love you. Kathy
