Your eyes tell a story Of hope and of lies Fairy-tales with unhappy endings Dreams and uncertainties Arms wrapped around tight Cutting like tangled briers Sharply cutting the skin Slowly bleeding me dry Bleeding the love from my veins Heaven sends not its blessing But lightning in the form of you Striking me down quickly Burning me to my core Frying every emotional outlet Your words tell of laughter Creations no longer found Maps to hidden wonders Never shared to the faint of heart

Nice work on this view of one's release of emotions through poem...it does show a variety of those feelings when one is walking away from an uncaring relationship...
