As hard as I try,
I cannot see.
The stars that were meant for me.
I wish as hard as I can, and can not
bring them into view.
Only in cyberspace can I see,
Your lovely face,
Beside me,
taking your rightful place.
Mountain houses I will be buying,
Only needing you to fill the void.
Seems like the Southern Cross has become quite an inspirational object....gotta love it.....keep looking my friend....maybe someday you will see it and the void will be filled!!
To watch the southern cross with a bottle of southern comfort could be riding the stars like a cowboy...heeee-haaaa...lol!!
Keep wishing and believing! and you will soon be receiving!
Hey, I like that.. a line in a poem, I will soon be writing!
Keep your sights OPEN! and your heart too!

hehe.
i simply had to read this because i have been known as the Southern Cross Gal.
i know that when i was travelling i really missed being able to look into the sky and see it. it was odd really.
and i also have a formation of freckles on my check that take on a resembelance of the southern cross too which is kinda funny.
to me it almost seems like the first and second stanzas are about two different things... the first one strikes me as being about the southern cross and then the second about a special someone...
i like the idea of being a void filler.
there is something comforting in that i think...
The Southern Cross seems to be a romantic icon for at least two people on the den and the beuty of it can only be surpassed by the beauty of love. Great work Walt.
