If I tell You I Love You

If I tell you I love You, it’s only the beginning, for we.
Maybe things each never meant to be seen,
Are waiting ‘neath the surface.
An everlasting sheen

When can we be,
Never it seems.
For no one seems to nudge you see,
Wrapped in our own infirmity.

Move on we must,
Lest we choke,
On our own dust.

A saddness of a hidden love affair never uncovered. I feel it within each line Walt. Thank you for sharing.
