Riding a rainbow is not so hard,
If you find ones end, in your back yard.
“Just hop aboard,” the Leprechaun said.
“No need to worry, no need to dread.”
"Yeah but is a pot of gold at the other end?"
He said, “Sure, waiting there for you to spend.”
I had a doubt but not a fear because he said,
“Never a Leprechaun would you wrongly steer.”
“Ok” I said with trepidation,
Hopping aboard with some elation.
Up I flew lickety-split,
Suddenly atop the rainbow, I sit.
I knew for sure there was a downside,
The other half down I had to slide.
But I held on and lo and behold,
At the end there was a pot of gold.
Now dairy farmers say they do have gold,
But it’s in the form of something not very old.
It was golden fresh stuff from cows you see,
So there in the stuff I was, stupid me.
I just laughed, wiped some off, and went on,
But I learned not to trust a Leprechaun.
This one sure buttered me up! if you can't have gold, make sure you know what side your bread is buttered on. Wait a little while for that golden cheese to age just right. Creative and cute.
...and you have met a leprechaun have you...it may be time for the men in the white suits with a net to visit you, but don't worry about that reverse jacket, they say they make you look 50 pounds lighter...-e-
