Bad relationship
I used to think the worst snake in the woodpile was the one my dad killed when I was a little girl, playing on a stack of firewood It was a bold memory that never left me. I still see myself dancing and hopping around squealing “kill it, daddy, kill it!” Fear is a strong memory making that snake the worst there was in my life Until you. I found there are worse snakes in woodpiles than copperheads and rattlesnakes and things that go bump in the night when I met you. 1986 © Nan C

Been there done that too. Married a snake that slithered around me for 16 years. I shed the bum though. Good job Nan. I like your writing style. Gonna follow you.

Nan this is priceless! Don't know what or who this is about...but it was sure a great topic to put on paper... YOu did it right, and gave us alot of food for thought.... There are all types of snakes in this world... be glad you/? escaped.... a iittle bite/sting...isn't near as bad as being totally devoured... You got it right...like I said... kick butt and keep going...best of all...keep writing... you sure have a gift... lindalaw

Ouch, sounds like someone has been burned by a bad relationship. Yes, there are worse things than snakes....

I hope he did not ruin you for life or for another relationship. You can find something better and eventually go on with life. Believe me I do know, it happened to me. Being asked for a divorce with 4 daughters to raise, and then divorcing him I found true love with my 2nd husband. Don't give up, there are good ones still out there who won't hurt you but give you lots of love and truly stand by you in everything you do. So sorry what you are going through now. Things will get better in time.

Hi Nan,I'm sorry that you had a bad relationship and I'll bet your boyfriend was a snake in the grass.I like reading your poem.I hope one day you will find a man that will not act or be like a snake in front of you.Instead hopefully he will be a man full of love,compassion,understanding,sensitivity and all the things that you deserve and want in a man.take care of yourself and don't pick out anymore snakes lol :-)
