We scrub or bodies and our souls, forgetting ............we live among live, with live and living things, scrub them away, and all is dead, including you!

Repeat!

Hygenics over done
like baking in the sun
remember where you from
from dust to dust you come

You scrub and scrub
make sure no bug
life's energy you suck
all living things that stuck

Your eyes, your ears, your nose
your body and your clothes
God knows where else your foes
aha, between your toes

You gargle and you brush
take care of every flush
and places that are hush
discreetly with a blush

But alas, you're now so clean
so shiny full of sheen
from head to toe to spleen
turned ugly, and so mean

In haste laid friend and foe to waste
look so sallow, so like paste
so pure and almost chaste
in balm should be encased

No thought if, you gallantly mistreated
those that weed, and weeded
those that tweed and tweeted
you thought they weren't needed

No living thing to cling to
now so clean, immaculate too
you're all alone, an only shoe
in other words, you're dead boo hoo!©

The pursuit of perfection strangles the living. Picture life in a perfectly hygenic world. The normal resistance to bugs is stripped from the chemicals used to eradicate them-every one in the pursuit of a perfect world without the threat of contamination. So then, breathing and being exposed to normal atmosphere would kill you. So you'd need to live indoors in an engineered environment. Oh the "perfect" may get their wish yet. You have inspired me, Jasmin. This is a fantastic write!
