A little star!

So near, and yet so far

My tiny woolly star

You little cuddly treasure

Your hugs meant so much pleasure

You gave them without measure

Your kisses sweet and gentle

Like secrets in a temple

Snug upon me to show you care

More love and kisses you would share

Just sometimes on a dare

Every moment of the day

With me you’d like to play

And then when time to sleep

You’d lie between my feet

Till time again to eat

This how your time would measure

To store your biggest treasure

Day by day you piled them high

Till all then reached the sky

When you lay down to die

But your love reached past the gate

That usually the fate

You left it here with me
