Ripe and plum in June!

From spring to the fall of life! winter approaching..

Ripe and plum in June


Now shrivelled like a prune


Nothing but gloom and doom


 


Yet sombre and deep


Etched much wisdoms


In lines so deep


 


The gloom he nourished


Being new and ripe


In him it flourished


 


But soon he found


New depths create new heights


Feelings he was astound


 


Sang more tonal now a tune


With resonance and deep


 Both of winters place and June!

I agree Jasmin. Drawing in the reader to wonder if the ripe one in June and the prune in the fall just happens to be the reader!
