Feeling on sealing
And the rape of the sea!
Blood red, white pelted pups
Frenzied clubbing thugs
Stained the scarlet tunic
To hush the distant squealing
From those with hearts of feeling
Read the sea and ice
Stained by murders vice
Protected by the law
Heartless beasts of murderess men
Find it sport to them and ken
Whiskey song and dance they prance
Their tradition to enhance
To survive on rock and ice
Killing is that brings them life
With club in hand and with the knife
Whiskey song and dance
Almost homely at a glance
Paint a picture of the rock
Feelings of the heart they mock
All along the eastern shore
Every spring brings blood galore
To enrich their bitter harvest
White crosses by the mile
Should stand as memories to vile
Raiders of the sea and shore
In song and praise their life adore
Destruction did not care or fear
Joined to drag the bottom deep
With the help of foreign fleet
Under laws destructive want
Those that cared they taunt
Caught all there is to catch
All were fearless in their greed
Now over fisheries they weep
The Inuit went out to sea
Not as a mob of industry
He caught a pelt or two
To feed his family and his need
Was not of tyranny or greed
But yet new slaughter so unkind
To feed the fashion of the blind
A barbaric senseless deed
The innocent lay there to bleed
Governments them wish Gods speed
So appalling and sinister
That the premier and prime minister
Harp along in song
Can’t see that they are wrong
Weary not the conscious throng!

And as you rightly point out, killing animals for food is one thing, but a mass slaughter of innocent animal infants, many only weeks old - for fur coats, is quite another.
And like the mass American buffalo slaughter, the carcasses of these thousands of babies are left to rot out on the ice, every single year.
I abhor violence, however, I wish I had a club in my hand just now.
