knowing one self is an eternity of experiences, and unless...

Poem Artwork

I know not of you

Yet I know you all to well

If it’s true

Deep within me dwell

Sometimes you are illusion

Like a bended looking glass

And do cause me confusion

A contorted mass

You’re in my hand like water

Volatile then gone

Or like liquid solder

Hardened into one

I see you sometimes true

Without doubt belief

That this is really you

Then sneak away as thief

Steal all I though had value

All that made me whole

All I thought was true

To question my own soul

I keep on adding more

To endless memories

Infinities I store

Yet forget the keys

Suddenly as eons passed

A knowing cross my path

That brings me back at last

It always has

Yet these are fleeting moments

Of truth aligned with truth

A momentary comment

Still In flux me soothe

There it was

And now it’s gone

That moment thus

I start from one

A lake with truth as water

Ripple with a rock

And what you think you saw there

You’re reflection mock

A river flowing swift and shallow

Runs true along its shore

But try the truth to follow

There it’s now and gone once more

Accepting who I am

Who I was and will be

At eight see differently at ten

That’s the truth I see!

Elusiveness at its best. Just can't quite pin down who we are as we are in a state of constant evolution.

God bless you. Kathy

Excellent write; we are indeed multi faceted and capricious, and yet our inner core may be eternal and unchanging.

Accepting oneself and then continue on to accepting the changes in life is a wonderful thing. Life is filled with changes and challenges which makes it all the more interesting.

Wonderful write!
