Sometimes you have to call a hog a hog

If that’s what it is

Especially when he ploughs your backyard into a bog

And rolls in it with bliss

If that is, what he is, or that be his name

It’s not a donkey or a frog

Need not recoil from shame

It’s just the way we talk

Sure you can use endearments

Like porky or Bess

Or even pet his fat rear end

His best side to address

Eventually he does forgive, or care if ever

If you call him pork or beacon

But if you kill him never

That caused him lots of aching

Yes words like knifes indeed

Most oft they do, than not

Uttered thoughtless and with speed

Can deeply hurt a spot

Remember though you can rebuff

Your beacon still your hide

Write like he does just off the cuff

And even up the tide!
