Just how deep do our sensitivities lie?

Sensitivities

Sensitivities I opined

While munching on a salad plate

In the stomach are defined

Your plate looks lovely all in sauce

That goose left in its brew

Your stomachs fill, was not its cause

It was a life that you now chew

Yes I do agree, it must taste wonderful

I wish my feeling could eschew

Yet just to fill my stomach full

To me would not be true

I feel its pain in every bite

In every bite I chew

I thought it fun when I was young

And ravenous I was too

But as in life I move along

Other thoughts me woe

Gave up sex, and smoke and meat

Now there is very little left to eat

I rather starve myself to death

My taste buds they have changed

Soon enough have to sins confess

Might think I was deranged

Enough lives have suffered at my hands

Just to feed my glands

You guessed it I’m just trying hard

If mind over matter will succeed

It’s late in life to make a start

From wanting to be freed

But hell, my friend, it is right now

While you are chewing on this sow!

Sometimes life does take its grip and we need to find the fortitude to change our ways. Isn't that what life is anyway?? Every changing??

Be safe,
Karen

I believe, it's never to late to change. Incredible insight!
