Memories of love! I had my first bar, rock hard and tasted like soap, Grandma saved it under the bed for me,but it was the only way she could protect it from the ravages of war, she was sad and embarrassed, but it was one of the sweetest gifts I ever received!
A Christmas treasure That brings much pleasure! Marzipan a gift of nature Moulted by man With nuts and paste and pan Wrapped in gold Leaves around What is inside will astound It�s tasty and sweet Yet refined and discreet Most perfect to eat Coated in chocolate dark A thin film of its bark To give extra spark One bar will do But better is two Leisurely chew There as you walk in the park Under lights when it�s dark Eat the rest, while your bottom you park Just for a moment or so Your senses will know You�re deep in the flow Nourished in body and soul You feel totally whole A heavenly goal. 28/11/2007

Marzipan...My Favorite too. We have a new hershey out that has marzipan centers. I never can find them once they hit the shelves.
This is a touching tribute to your gift long ago. This is most precious I believe.
