A taste of my own sins!

Tredging through mountains of snow on a three mile trek, to feed the birdies tummies and my soul, confronted a gang of teenagers shooting the same with their B B guns, yet deeply hurt, I remember when I was young, I was not much better.

Oh I am boiling inside

I am very angry

With myself I had a fight

I walk through the deep and dark

Of my soul

A way back to the arc

When two by two under Noah’s watchful gaze

Walked that plank onto a new dominion

Left all the sin behind without a trace

Another chance for the human race

But hungers need and greed

Soon our innocence debase

The firstborn slain to feed our greed

Spilled innocent blood in turmoil’s strive

The arrow faster than his speed

Though plentiful the fruit it flourished

Multitudes to feed

Innocent blood more quickly nourished

We soon forgot that our new dawn

To start better and anew

To our stomach became a pawn

We killed that deer to feed our bones

Survival at its best

Yet no one for their blood atones

Taking lives to pay for ours

Just become the norm

While the soul again it cowers

It seems we like to kill

It is our primal longing

Our basic nature to fulfill

Our higher nature in a different realm must be

A distant future place

Fearful, it, our soul might see

We close our eyes, with regret and sinful chant

To the maker we ask his blessing

To lend a helping hand

And then with skill and erudition

Circumscribe what he had meant

Make skilful sin a wise tradition

When young and following the trend

Hunt everything in sight to fill the tummy

The others destruction I was bent

And now much older realize

The havoc I had wrecked

My actions now despise

To my dismay and my regret

To late became so wise

Would have acted differently instead!

Many questions here Jasmin. Many have no answers.

The young leap where even Angels fear to tread. They feel immortal. Without others to cheer them on, they might reconsider and atone. Jasmin, you are a wonderful man. Any sins you have committed have long been atoned for with your loving care of our animal, water, and flying friends.
Love,
annie

Tredging through mountains of snow on a three mile trek, to feed the birdies tummies and my soul,

I'm sure anyone willing to do that has atoned for any of their sins many times over.

I applaud your honesty Jasmin, and as you know we all have regrets of our former years, and must reconcile ourselves to the truth. Then leave it there for we can't change what is past, but we can show understanding to others, as you have done here.

Love,
ET

My Mom always said "profit from your mistakes and mine. make new ones." But, any way you cut it, a mistake [whatever it might be] is still a mistake. Those who learn from them are blest. Those who don't, well ... what can I say?

God bless you. Kathy
