Kisses of the wild!

Through storm wind and weather

Through ice and snow

There is no other time that’s better

To feed my friends I go

I had to call them trice

They whispered, who’s that fool

Out in snow and ice

Oh, it’s our friend that’s cool

I stood between the pines

The hawk above a weary eye

Though to catch them there declines

And that’s the reason why

The fine feathered friend in a dark suit

His flying skills in wind abate

Gingerly approached his loot

Before it was too late

Uncovered it would not lay too long

The snow would hide his treasure

The wind now fierce and strong

None could fly at leisure

The little ones as always thankful were

Looked at me with trusting eyes

Came all this way my food to share

My loyalty were wise

Little peg leg I had to coax

But I stood near a tree

She thought this not a hoax

This is really me

Yes I said you little bums

This be a rotten day

But not a friend ho hums

To you I found my way

Silently I said a prayer

A silhouette in white

Can I go another layer?

Wish now I could take flight

Three miles became now longer

Up to my ass in snow

I wasn’t getting any stronger

How much further can I go?

Der wind, der wind das himmlische kind

The wind the wind the heavenly child

Vom schnee noch werd ich blind

It blinds me, blowing wild

My little voice that always speaks to me

Little Jasmin said in fun

It’s a sea of white I see

Isn’t that such fun

Yes I thought her little legs all five inches tall

A marathon she’d run

There was nothing her could stall

So come on you son of a gun

I dredged my legs now up the hill

Used my hands to lift my legs

My boots with snow did fill

My mind for halt it begs

There is the road I shout

I’ve made it all three miles

Of that I’m proud

Used all my strengths and wiles

Brought joy and happiness to me

This is my Sunday prayer

In this storm my friends did see

To add another fatty layer
