Resting in the twilight
Under a prairie sky
There in the far blue yonder
In fields of flax
And golden wheat
There gods’ dreams I plunder
There his breath from heavens jar
In rolling waves
Of gently bended stalks
And green shadows far
I ride a ship to nevermore
Across the gold and blue
A gentle weave of lullaby
I row in dreams upon his shore
In crimson skies I turn my head
In blankets of new hues
I snuggle under
And makes his dreams my bed
Rested in his hollow hand
A stalk of wheat between my teeth
He lets me blunder all his dreams
The ones I understand
Soon awoken by the call
It’s time to work my fields
And weave that gold and blue
Another day so tall
His mighty hand right by my side
To help me hold the till
Till all is dreams a golden weave
The eye beholds from far and wide.

Across the gold and blue
A gentle weave of lullaby
I row in dreams upon his shore
Sounds like a wondrous journey, my friend. And Merry, Merry Christmas to You!
