Let us pray in a different way, with actions we do everyday!

A Christmas present to the great spirit!

A canopy of light

What brightens the spirit?

Puts holiness into heart and mind

Lets us walk among his flowers

Birds and bees

Golden sunsets

And sycamore trees

Waterfalls and thunder

Rainbows from heaven to earth

Morning dews and morning doves

Sun streaming through leaves above

Cherry blossoms, peach, magnolia

Young lovers kissing

A little boy hugging his puppy

Heavenly music of Bruch and Bach

Sweet tunes of Jazz from a smoky bar

Children’s laughter from afar

Great mountain tops

The raging sea

Ships under Sail

Humpbacks and whales

Sweet lullabies and tales

Theatre and parks

Gently rain and fog

Tall grasses and buffalo

The little marmot whistling

The raven and hawk

Orchids and hummingbirds

Orange tan and flamingo

Oasis in the desert

Wind dunes and sand

Caravans and treasures

Little girls and boys

Apple faced grannies

Grandpa and pipe

Indian chief and feathers

Braves on ponies

And honour guard

And martial music’s art

A colourful parade

King and consort

Castles in Spain

Slow walks in the forest

Champaign and caviar

Peonies in the garden

Sweet jasmine bowers

Orange blossoms

A bowel of cherries

Belgian chocolates and waffles

Tall minarets and call to prayers

Church bells tolling in the distance

Great halls in hushed silence

Chinese silks

Indian sarongs

Temple songs

The Great Spirit made all these things

Gave us tools to help us weave

Like children on moms knees

Help create and recreate

In thanks to him in work we pray

Sustain this paradise another day

Yet the little devils have their say

Weave not thanks but another way

In arrogance and greed from God they stray

Let us weave a tighter knot to save his work

Let our daily activities be our prayer

In thankfulness and fulfillment of his art

In his wisdom he did start

Let us weave a tighter knot

In his creation so we may forever live and play in it

This paradise he made is here this moment

Let us weave to keep it together

Let us weave a tighter knot

Against those who would destroy it forever

Who in their test tubes in their shallow wisdom?

Replace monsters for birds and flowers

Acid rain instead of showers

Wastelands without oasis

And bring dark sunshine on all that once beautiful

Let us who love Gaya and her great spirit

Let us who love her creator

Let us who wander among their great gifts

Pay homage and thanks

Let us together share

What so generously they offered

With those precious beings that live among us

Let us weave with the great Spirits help

Anew

Without destroying

Taking only minimal

And giving more

Let no one blight his treasures store

We have tools in togetherness

Let us join in his great spirit

Write poetry and song

Petition and voters throng

Let’s try and mend our way

Pay attention to what we pay

This is how we should pray and have our say!

A passionate tribute to the Great Father. It truth, it is a wonderful Creation which births us, sustains us, and beautifies our sojourn here. Good work, Jasmin. Merry Christmas!

Jasmin, upon observation of the beauty of creation as you have written about in this piece, that should leave no doubt as to how it came to be. What a fitting present to the One that first designed, then created all we are, just to let Him know that we know He is there. jln

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
