No more cares!

Accepting that which is

Some wise guy said

Someday you’re still in biz

The next day dead

Whatever for we fret

Just turn that wheel

Keep on turning till your dead

Why bother feel

Just causes you upset

To look at what is real

There is always killing you can bet

Supply somebody’s meal

In that the stomach does hold sway

Feed me will the brain command

Feed me right away today

I don’t care whose aunt

If you don’t without delay

And make it tasty too

Not too long alive will stay

In the here after then will stew

Have you not noticed look around

From bugs to stars

Everything is stomach bound

From Jupiter to mars

Some deliberate and slow

Will chew their food

Some for years lay low

Don’t give for time a hoot

Though even some look permanent

To our senses in the know

But they too have an end

Their light might still have glow

Did I not know and only see

The beauty that abound

My feeling heart set free

At death not be astound

The reaper cometh when it’s time

To take you in his fold

No powers have him to decline

No matter how much gold

Then feelings too are gone

To that eternal place

This what happiness does spawn?

Just be one with space

Just a witness in your final rest

See things without compassion

That was instilled from mother’s breast

Just a witness to life’s fashion

yes, the melancholy tone and reflective nature does make this poem effective ...

People talking about that "Reaper's cometh" should be bathed in dry martinis (heavey on the vodka and...stir, not shake)
If that doesn't do for you, bath the dog instead, its smile will put you in better spirits!!!!
This poem needs a good friendly clap on the shoulder, because it is kind of well written sadness.
Georg

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
