Our own comfort zone!

The three monkeys are alive and well,

Though, afflictions in them do dwell,

Those afflictions, were all passed on,

From generation, to generation, far too long

We have just discovered, though it was assumed

That these afflictions over time were groomed,

Now a new phenomena, has been offered,

New afflictions have been discovered

Because no hearing, seeing, speak,

Their mind has sprung a leak,

Have lost their sense of touch,

Don’t care about too much

Now there is some foreboding,

Themselves, on welfare loading,

From the public purse,

From beginning, birth to the hearse,

Those most afflicted seem to be,

Higher up the family tree;

Like Senators and such,

Much out of touch to much,

Even common folk among the tribe,

With common sense can’t bribe;

Though some most gentle and most kind;

Prefer not to see, that’s why their blind

Smoke too much pot, drink to much beer

Your shouting cannot hear,

And those are wined and dined,

Similar inclined

Some speak well enough though they mumble,

Twist their words in mumble jumble

What they say not worth of hearing,

Yet those can’t hear are cheering

But the out of touch, can’t tell are fraud,

When blind, and deaf and dumb applaud,

My God, who would have thought?

What the future now have wrought!

The easiest frauds among the bunch,

This is just a hunch,

Those that out of touch,

Just touch their wallet or their crotch

The three monkeys are alive and well

And it seems they sadly gain many new followers each and every day now.

Friend, as long as we persist on being optimist they will have a open field where to cavort and pluck from our hands the green-backs that we so naive wave as a token of personal accomplishment.
Before I picture in my mind a monster a Gotzilla like one, now I just need to look at the picture of a politician, a Corporation Chief Executive or a Lobbyist.

Hear, see, speak no evil, nice comparison. I see it as more like the Ostrich who choses to bury his head in the sand because facing the realities and reaching decisions are much too difficult. Good work as always.....

Be always safe,

I love your 3 monkey comparison. So true, so true! The fatter your wallet, they better they'll listen. Sadly, it's we 'little people' who end up with ... Well, enough said. Incredible insight and write.

God bless you. Kathy

'Bout how I feel about the current candidates running for President - have decided to write to all of the candidates and see what they can do about issues vitally important to me. Whoever has the right answers, will act upon them (without forgetting whom they serve) will get my vote. Excellent write, Jasmin.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
