Sunday Blessings!

A Sunday Rendezvous!

Branches whiskered arms do greed me,
A chirp, a flutter, and sweet noise,
I know that sound, and whose it be,
Angel face, her tiny little voice,
Under branches, over a bank of snow,
Anxiously she waited for her treat,
To the place we always meet I’d go,
And feed my little sweet,
Happy to see me, she didn’t leave my sight,
No further than a foot she flew,
Snug and close she stayed in flight,
I had walnuts, peanuts, all her favourite food,
And also brought some Niger seed,
She really liked, I didn’t know she would,
I spread some all along with speed,
Her tummy full; she left the food behind,
She stayed right close, the nearest branches space,
Niger though, she’d hide in branches rind,
The nearest branch, a foot or so, her tail was in my face,
How sweet, I thought, so close, and delicately near,
Flying back and forth two dozen times or more,
In friendship knew, she nothing had to fear,
We’ve done this many times before,
A rendezvous, like nervous lovers meet,
Between the pine bows love exchange,
She in happiness does tweet,
Then her plumage re-arrange,
On my hand that sweet coquette,
Her dark eyes look, so deeply into mine,
Like she did, when we first met,
And still, such beauty they do shine,
A loving look, and than, she flew away,
She signals me adieu, goodbye,
She knew we meet another day,
I leave then with a sigh.

Jasmin,
I Love To Feed My Birds Too.
In The Winter Mornings They Need Energy So Badly That Some Don't Flinch When I Fill Their Feeders.

Awww, so sweet and tender, yet blessedly rich with love. All the beauty unfolds well in this adoring piece...

Be always safe,

A most warm and joyful way to be greeting the day: "A chirp, a flutter, and sweet noise". Such a chorus of warbling greets me too, in my back yard, as I put out birdseed for the beautiful song-makers! How lucky we are, huh, J.H! As your poem reflects, we are given a beautiful gift when we share with the birds.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
