Easing the minds pain!

Hurting is healing!

Ointment to salve the wounds,
Self inflicted by my mind,
Like razor cuts unkind,
Thoughts I have about the world,
Just thoughts, no truth,
I had them since my youth,
Unwilling to let go, hanging on for comforts sake,
After all they’re mine,
And with them, I done just fine,

Hanging on to them, like life,
And yet, I see and hear,
Other voices clear,
Go forth young man,
Explore the new,
Sit in another pew,
Search your longing to know more,
Instead your mind, use heart and soul,
Not just part of, but the whole,

You are entrapped, your mind your prison,
Your soul the key,
To set you free,
Question that which innermost,
Your mind and body just a host,
Those hurtful prison bars escape,
Along with poison scars to date,
Reach deep your inner core,
Your peace and freedom find once more.

Your Thoughts are knowledge, J-H...remembrances of what or what not to be. Replace those prison bars and poison scars with roses and trees, and your birds safely within.

Reach deep your inner core,
Your peace and freedom find once more.

Something I seem to think about more and more each day now. I think soon I'll just head off into the wilderness, and live the rest of my days there in comtemplation of life.

Jasmin...you nuts? Hurting? Healing? you know what you are asking for? yes yes, what you said in the poem...but my friend, that kite ain't flying, better go to friend when it hurts, open a bottle of rum and chase that pain to where it belongs...I have the glasses ready.

They say that man is his/her own limitation and I believe that to be true. Look into your heart and soul, there the answers lay...

Be always safe,

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
