Super religious people, I believe have about us much spirituality as a good full sized cow paddy.

Bless Ya!

Hypocrites at its best,

All those claim by God are blessed,

In this life have God impressed,

With their piety at best,

I can’t believe, that sins such as,

Fornication, or whoring lass,

Or using condoms, instead of procreation,

Or sex in any pleasurable occasion,

Or multiple husbands or wives,

Sweet little white lies,

Laying in bed with your brother,

That intensely God should bother,

Yet murder, as an act of war,

Or your neighbour for his race would tar,

Not to speak, of fighting over whom he is,

Yet his real purposes miss,

The churches creed, to him laid claim,

Killing others, or bring them shame,

Destroying every bird or beast,

And all he made, to say the least,

But listen to those preachers on their pulpits high,

I swear to God they lie,

But yet they wave that book,

Not a word have understood,

Give me one good witch,

One good crone,

One honest love among the bunch,

Most do Gods work on a hunch,

Though the fear and comfort of the masses,

For love of God it passes,

Bully pits, or pit bulls are the same,

Let them loose, and they’re hard to tame,

Killed to many here to name,

Not shy their tummies feed,

While others food deplete,

Then send Alms with great ado,

Those then for their saviour sue,

Shame, shame, shame,

You know who holds the blame,

Comfort, yes, and halleluiah,

While we suck it to ya,

Wailing crying in the isles,

Begging forgiveness to the skies,

Six more days to sin,

You cannot loose but win,

Thank God, yet very few,

To God are really true ,

Help a neighbour, or a kitten,

Without agenda hidden,

Help that little puppy on the street,

Or give a homeless some to eat,

For they have love so sweet,

Not looking for rewards, or heavenly retreat,

Not need seek Jesus on my knees,

Or false prophets please,

Despite my sins and hell,

You can’t fool him, he sure can tell,

Yet if at all allowed, I’d like him as a friend,

When the time comes in the end,

And there is more among the few,

For whose friendship I would sue,

Albert Einstein, Schweitzer, and the like,

But Adolf, or Stalin send on a hike,

There are many I admire, that speak to me,

Like Solomon, Buddha, or Ghandi,

They seemed to know Gods call,

I bet they’re all in heavens stall,

And others like the St. Francis,

Will be in heavens Bliss,

I doubt though that I will see,

Those Bible thumpers near to me,

All of them in hell they’ll wail,

Don’t ask for me, to give them bail.

Way to tell'em, Jasmin. Jesus said, "Many will call me Lord, Lord, and I tell you, I knew them not." I'm afraid that will be the results for many, and we also may be surprised by some he acknowledges...Jerry

"Whoa"....she says, backing quietly out the door! Righteous anger is never wrong when the cause is right.

As you say, they can't fool Him, but they seem to delight in fooling others. Such a shame.

J-H, it seems you may have been watching some "commercial preachers" on TV. I won't let them into my home (thru TV.) Or the news from Texas and Austria and...all over the world! Yet, there IS so much good, too...we should look towards those.

Jasmin,

They talk the talk, but don't walk the walk - an excellent reminder for all of us.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Next Arrivals by Robin Ouzman Hislop

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
