Not rushing to paradise.

There once upon a time,

Lived an ogre, now that he’s dead,

He is just fine,

Or so we thought,

When interred, in the plot we bought,

But his flue we caught,

Worse we got, from day to day,

More sickly and near death,

We could here him laughing, I dare say,

He knew, we didn’t like him,

Obvious to all,

But thought, he took it on the chin,

Of course we helped him go,

Where ogres do,

Six feet down below,

All along revenge he schemed,

Benign, we thought at first,

His illness, not what it had seemed,

Was it guilt, or was it shame,

He played a trick,

Only, we on him could blame,

First went Dick, then Harry, Matt and Sue,

Six we were,

Of us, now only two

Worried all we were, but now’s too late,

No begging God will help,

All be at the pearly gate,

That’ll teach you I hear him whisper,

From below the ground,

You are next, dear brother, and dear sister,

I’m writing this from down below,

For I too now have passed on,

I guess, you reap what you will sow,

Don’t matter if it’s George or Mary,

Find happiness in me,* below*,

Forget, my seeds you carry,

That little bit of DNA makes sure, this planet you will leave,

Does not matter when,

 Your life cannot retrieve.

Your ego friend thinks otherwise,

Will bury it, with you,

And all its many lies,

Look deeply at your future dears,

There is no other out,

Still time to shed some tears,

No gentlemen in this there order,

Polite at this there door,

Go ahead please, even if you’re a porter,

Refusniks in this there line you’ll find,

Lined right back the other wall,

No matter how polite and kind,

Paradise some underscore,

Some on pulpits preach,

Not rush forward to the fore,

No happiness or doe I have,

No millions to give away,

But what I have, not for you laugh,

I gave you all I had to share,

Accept it in good Grace,

If not for worse, go to a better place!

Down to two, must have been a real killing flu. Contagiousness in this world spreads very fast, but we have to take things into our hearts to fight it off and our bodies will bend to become anew.

This teaches us to stay away from those ogre-gravesites! Hope my flu shot is still working, J-H :o) Now, go read my "Don't Give a Pssst" and feel better, dear friend!

This is the mother of a malicious-joy if I read anytime one like that.
I will hate to get on your wrong side!
